Game Development Competition 2012

Started in 2009, GDC offers a platform for aspiring game developers from secondary and tertiary institutions to attend workshops and develop a game of their own.  It would subsequently be reviewed by a panel of judges to pick out the best team in each category.

This year, we are focusing on the mobile games industry.  As such, the game development platforms would cover Facebook, iOS, and Android.  We will be looking to bring in instructors from Google, Microsoft, and Apple, to conduct workshops for participating students.  These companies are being invited for the first time for this event.

To make GDC'12 a successful event, we will be recruiting fellow NUS students from different faculties to form the organizing committee! We need passionate, creative and committed members/team leaders, to form this committee.  You do not need to be an active gamer or programmer to be part of this exciting event! The sub-teams that are part of the committee (with brief descriptions) are:

Publicity Team - To publicize the event to different schools
Logistics Team - To manage the logistics aspect of the event
Editorial Team - To manage all the writings and proposals for the event
Web Site Team - To design and manage the web site for GDC'12
Administration Team - To provide administrative support for the central team
Finance and Marketing Team - To manage the event's finances and source for event sponsors
