Matriculation Fair 2012 Organizing Committee is Recruiting!

Matriculation Fair (MF) is back!! We are now recruiting for next committee of Matriculation Fair 2012.

Matriculation Fair is an annual event in which newly-matriculated students of NUS would have the opportunities to discover the vibrancy of student life in the university. There are more than 100 student clubs participating in Matriculation Fair 2011. These clubs would be showcasing what they have to offer to the freshmen in their university life all in the fair itself. If you remember walking through CCA booths after you get your matric card, those are prepared by matriculation fair committee. So do come and join us as you will be able to explore the fun and experience not to mention.

Positions open for Matriculation Fair 2012:

Vice Project Director (non-operation) (x1) - Very Hard XXD

• Assist Project Director in heading non-operations committee (PRO, publicity, Secretary, Treasurer)
• In charge when project director is not available. ... and no, you cannot taichi your responsibilities (been here, done that)

Secretary (x1) - Medium :D

• In charge of booking places for meetings
• In charge of noting down meeting minutes and distribute it latest three days after the meeting
• Prepare a meeting agenda at least three days before the meeting
• Take attendance of people coming for the meeting
• In charge of database of matriculation fair

Treasurer (x1) - Hard XD

• In charge of receipt from matriculation fair committee
• In charge of deposit from participating bodies involved in matriculation fair
• Available whenever needed urgently (budget and deposit related)
• Easily contactable

Public Relations Officers(x5) - Hard XD

• In charge of liaising with participating bodies
• Attend to the needs and requests from participating bodies
• Come up with basic rules and regulations for participating bodies regarding their involvement in matriculation fair
• Kindly assess complains from participating bodies
• Report to Project director and vice project director regarding complains and taking hard decision

Publicity Team(x4) - Medium :D

• Come out with interesting poster for matriculation fair
• Help out sales in designing NUSSU t-shirt
• In charge of designing committee t-shirt and outsource for publicity items (banner, poster)
• Decorating MPSH

 Operations Team (x8) - Medium :D

• In charge of outsourcing logistic resources (partition board, etc)
• In charge of designing a floor plan for matriculation fair
• Involved in the preparation of matriculation day, such as moving stuffs and setting up
• During D-Day, in charge of operation’s flow (securities, etc)

Sales Team (x4) - Easy ^^

• Designing the NUSSU t-shirt for matriculation fair
• In charge of preparation (packing) of NUSSU t-shirt for sell
• In charge of selling NUSSU t-shirt during matriculation fair
• In charge of the income from selling NUSSU t-shirt
• Report to Project Director for the income per day and number of t-shirts sold

Welfare Team(x3) - Easy ^^

• In charge of committee welfare during D-day
• In charge of holding team bonding session
• Logistic run during the D-day

*additional job: The whole committee will be involved since two weeks before the matriculation fair for the preparation such as setting up place, packing goodie bags and decorating the mpsh.
